The first blog...

The best and worst thing in the world has to be familiarity. AHH!!! What a double edged sword it is. We hate our lives, we hate the grind, the repition, the annoying people who you talk to and hang out with simply because you don't want to be an asshole. Yet, at the same time, when things are new, when the pace changes that kind of stinks too. You meet a girl and you are in love with her and you have all these new senations in your body and you start having drastic changes. Yet, in a few days or weeks all these new sensations are now the standard and you are stuck in a new grind. You need some sort of schedule thereby having as little input into your life as pssible. This past week I was all over Wisconsin and Illinois seeing my friends and family and having a wonderful time. Yet, by weeks end I could not wait to get back to my boring little college town, what gives. Which brings me to tradition. I remember two years ago I was hanging out with my friends and it was like one or two in the morning and I was starving. No place in WW is open so I said lets go to Perkins. We went there, it was awesome, we had a blast, and then decided to do it every week. After like the 12th time we went to Perkins it was no longer fun, but more of a choir. So what is my advise to you (you who will not read this and me who will not follow the advice) my advice is that if you are going to try something new make sure that is something you will never want to do again. Like I got upset once I started driving, and driving, and ended up in St. Cloud Minn. before I turned back. And I have to tell you that I will never ever do that again.
